An update from Redford's foster family in Cork
Redford has been busy since arriving in foster. Really busy. Specifically, he's been busy stealing hearts, making people laugh and attending events like the social butterfly he is.
His foster mama describes him as polite, precious and a constant source of entertainment. Watching those lovable lanky limbs flail around during playtime is, apparently, guaranteed to make you smile.
He's been building his confidence steadily too. Cafes, pet stores, busy streets and brand new environments, he takes it all in his stride. He occasionally checks in with his humans for reassurance, but his foster family suspect that's less about nerves and more about treats.
At home, Redford is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. He loves his toys, balls and squeakies and has even started bringing them back for another throw. After playtime he's just as happy to snooze under a blanket or lean gently into you for a cuddle. He sleeps soundly through the night, is fully house trained and takes everything in his easy, relaxed stride.
He's great with other dogs too, including resident houndies Maggie and Ada, and is happy to meet new canine friends after a polite introduction.
Redford doesn't ask for much. Just your company, your sofa and the occasional squeaky toy.

Attention Corkonians! There is a houndsome houndie on the scene. Meet Redford, a gentle, affectionate and curious boy who is ready to find his forever home. Since arriving in foster care, Redford has been stealing hearts. His foster mum says it best, any home would be blessed to have Redford join them as he is a gorgeous and affectionate pet who is looking to share love and life.
Redford’s confidence has grown beautifully. He shows love in classic houndie ways, standing close, gently leaning in and soaking up all the pets and reassurance he can get. Once he knows you, he is incredibly affectionate and enjoys plenty of company and attention. He is adjusting well to urban life. Busy traffic and bicycles can still feel a little overwhelming at times, but with patience and steady routines he continues to grow in confidence.
Redford is fully house trained and a dream to walk on the lead, happily exploring at a calm, sniffy pace. He especially enjoys walking with other dogs, though very small dogs will need sensible introductions. At home he is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. He loves his toys, balls and squeakies and has even started bringing them back for another throw. After playtime, he is just as happy to snooze or snuggle under a blanket. True houndie style, he is calm, affectionate and easygoing, often taking cues from the resident hounds in the house.

Redford is currently in foster in Cork. RIGHT is a volunteer-led, foster-based organisation dedicated to rehoming Irish greyhounds. Every greyhound in RIGHT’s care lives in a loving foster home where they experience real home life and are supported by experienced fosterers.
