Calm, cuddly and just a little bit mischievous. Hello from your lovable blue boy.
What his foster pawrents say:
“'A loving, affectionate, and well-rounded hound with a playful, mischievous streak.”
Hello from true blue Liam
Liam is a gorgeous blue boy, weighing around 31kg and currently fostering in Dublin. He turned 8 on the 12th of February, making him a true Aquarius. Loyal, warm and occasionally a law unto himself. A perfect mix and that sounds just about right.
He came to RIGHT having been adopted in 2022. Through no fault of his own, he found himself back in care earlier this year. But here's the thing: Liam already knows what home life is. He knows sofas and routines, morning walks and mealtimes, people coming and going. He's not learning from scratch. He's simply looking for his next chapter.
He settled into his foster home quickly and comfortably, sharing the space with resident hound Snowie. His foster family saw his personality come through almost immediately. Calm, affectionate, quietly playful and completely at ease.
Thanks to our volunteers
A huge thank you to the transport volunteers who got Liam safely into foster care. And to Snowie and her family for opening their home so warmly to him. You're making all the difference.
Cuddlebug ALERT!

Is Liam RIGHT for you?
Liam is ready to meet his forever family.
He's an experienced hound. He already knows sofas, routines and the quiet rhythm of a house. He settled into foster care quickly and with very little fuss. That speaks for itself.
Day to day, Liam is easy company. He chills out between walks, sleeps through the night and has no separation anxiety. He's calm, he's content and he won't redecorate in your absence.
House training is going well. He lets his foster family know when he needs to go out and is finding his rhythm. The occasional mishap still happens as he adjusts to his new home, but he responds well to consistency and is picking it up fast.
One thing worth knowing: Liam is a greeter. He can be a little vocal when his people come home, when visitors arrive or if he spots a cat from the window. It's completely manageable and simply part of who he is. If you want a hound with personality, he won't disappoint.
If Liam sounds like the companion you've been hoping to meet, get in touch. We'd love to introduce you.

Ready to meet Liam?
Every greyhound with RIGHT lives in a foster home before adoption. That means by the time you meet them, they're house trained, used to home life and showing their real personality. What you see is what you get.
RIGHT was founded in 2019 and is a volunteer-run, foster-based organisation helping ex-racing greyhounds find loving homes across Ireland. Before any adoption, we arrange a meet and greet so you and your potential new hound can get to know each other properly. Find out more on our adoption page.
If Liam sounds like the companion you've been looking for, get in touch. We'd love to introduce you.
Why adopt a greyhound?
Greyhounds are one of the most misunderstood dogs around. They're not high-energy athletes who need hours of exercise. They're calm, gentle, low-maintenance companions who happen to be very good at doing absolutely nothing. Greyhounds are gentle, low-maintenance souls with just enough quirk to keep you smiling. They don't need hours of exercise. What they need is a soft spot to land and someone who gets them.
What makes them brilliant:
Two short walks a day, then the sofa is theirs.
Quiet and non-destructive around the house.
Adaptable to apartments, houses and everything in between.
Full of personality: roaching, sighing, being wonderfully and unapologetically odd.
Gentle by nature and genuinely easy to live with.
You're not rescuing a greyhound. You're giving them the life they've always deserved. And in return? Unconditional love and a companion who'll never leave your side.
