A greyt hello from Hana the Home-Maker
Hana came in quietly and took over completely. The sofa. The beds. The toy basket. All hers now, and honestly, it suits her perfectly.
She's a blue girl with a big personality hiding behind a gentle face. Curious, affectionate and just a little bit funny. She's the kind of hound who makes you laugh without even trying.
What makes Hana special
Hana is a dedicated toy collector. Squeakies have a habit of migrating around the house when she's about. She's also a champion cuddler, fully committed to comfort, and very clear about her opinions on sofas.
Her new family couldn't have put it better: she's bright, curious, funny and just perfect.

A huge thank you to Caoimhe, Joe, the boys and their resident hound Pop for fostering Hana with such care and warmth. They gave her time to find her feet, learn the rhythms of home life and grow into the confident, settled girl she is today.
We're also so grateful to Ann for opening her home again. A beautiful, generous thing to do.
Considering fostering or adopting?
Greyhounds like Hana often arrive a little unsure of themselves. New sounds, new spaces, new routines. Most settle within a few weeks. What you see then is who they've always been: the personality, the quirks, the opinions on where they sleep.
They're low-maintenance in the ways that matter. One or two walks a day, a warm spot to lie, some company. In return you get a calm, affectionate housemate who is deeply loyal and, if you're lucky, slightly obsessed with squeaky toys.
Hana came through RIGHT's foster programme, which means she lived in a real home before she was ever advertised for adoption. Her fosters knew her. That knowledge helped match her with exactly the right person.
Hana is home but there are so many others still waiting. You're not rescuing a greyhound. You're giving them the life they've always deserved. And in return? Quiet company, unconditional loyalty and the occasional squeaky toy left somewhere unexpected.
Hello from your social girl with the softest heart
Beautiful blue girl Hana has officially left kennel life behind and made her way to Dublin, where she is settling into her loving foster home. A heartfelt thank you to resident hound Pop and family for giving this sweet girl the chance to jump off our waiting list and begin her journey home.
Hana wasted no time settling in and happily slept through the whole night. When morning came, this affectionate girl was only too happy to dispense snuggles. She has already been spotted trying to lick her foster brother’s ears, clearly keen to make friends. This curious and playful little lady has even been caught playing with her own reflection in the mirror, showing off her wonderfully goofy side. Her foster dad describes her as a lovely, affectionate and delightfully silly girl.
Now cosy and content, Hana is beginning to familiarise herself with the comforts of home life. Her first great mystery to solve is surround sound, which she finds quite the bamboozle. With each day she is growing more confident and comfortable, soaking up love and learning all about life indoors.

This lady loves to be in the middle of it all - whether that’s at the dinner table, on walks or just watching telly. Guaranteed, she’s waiting to jump into the middle of whatever is going on!

Hana is beginning life as a much loved and appreciated pet and we cannot wait to share more of her journey as she settles in. RIGHT is a volunteer-led, foster-based organisation dedicated to rehoming Irish greyhounds.
Every greyhound in RIGHT’s care lives in a loving foster home where they experience real home life and are supported by experienced fosterers. We work closely with each foster home and potential adopter to make sure every hound finds the perfect match.
