The Lane family says:
โShe's such an affectionate, adorable personality. She's so calm, I think we all got very lucky with her.โ
The moment Amber chose her family
When the Lane family came to meet Amber, something special happened. There was no real decision to make because Amber had already chosen them. She lovingly leaned into her new sister, making it perfectly clear she had found her match.
Since coming home, Amber has embraced every moment with pure joy. Her days are filled with garden zoomies, sneaking upstairs for cosy bed cuddles, and proudly gathering up every teddy bear she can find. She's experienced so many firsts: her first lick of vanilla ice cream, her first bath (which she loved), and walks alongside her horse friends, all smiles as she goes.
A weekend in the life of Amber
Amber's favourite place is out in the stables, hanging out with the horses. She loves her walks in the fields with them, calm and content as she takes it all in. Back at home, she's perfected the art of asking for affection and gets plenty of it. Cuddles on the bed, toys scattered around the house, and quality time with her family fill her days.
Greatest achievement?
Learning to ask for the affection she deserves and confidently exploring her new world, from stables to sofas.
The Lane family says:
โShe's such an affectionate, adorable personality. She's so sweet. Loves all the affection she gets and now knows how to ask for it. She's met so many people and animals already. She loves nothing more than going out to the stables and hanging out with the horses, she loves her walks in our fields as well with the horses. She's so calm, I think we all got very lucky with her.โ
Thank you
A very special thank you to Amber's foster family Kerry, Paul and their resident hound Bingley for welcoming Amber into your home and giving her the care, reassurance and love she needed to thrive. You helped her grow in confidence and prepared her for this next chapter in the most meaningful way.
Why Greyhounds Make Great Pets
Greyhounds are often misunderstood. They're calm, gentle and surprisingly adaptable. Once they've had their walk, they're more than happy to curl up on the sofa for the rest of the day.
โข Two short walks, then back to the couch.
โข Quiet, calm and born for snuggles.
โข Adaptable to any home, from apartments to farms.
โข Full of personality: roaching, sighing, teddy collecting.
โข Gentle souls who love routine and comfort.
Ready to Meet Your Future Hound?
Every greyhound at RIGHT lives in a foster home before adoption. This means they're house trained, used to home life and showing their real personality. You're not taking a chance. You're meeting a hound who's already settled into the rhythm of home.
RIGHT was founded in 2019 and is run entirely by volunteers. We're a foster-based charity, which means every hound gets the chance to decompress, learn and grow before finding their forever family. We also run regular meet and greets so you can spend time with our hounds and see if there's a connection. Learn more about our adoption process.
If you'd like to meet your future hound, get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
Amber is home, but there are so many others waiting to find their forever family just like her. You're not rescuing a greyhound. You're giving them the life they've always deserved. And in return? Unconditional love and a companion who'll never leave your side.

Hello from your gentle, affectionate brindle girl who already has a favourite teddy.
What her foster Pawrents say:
'Ava and Bingley hit it off straight away, lots of sniffies and waggy tails from the start.'Ava is a three-year-old brindle girl who has just swapped kennel life for couch life in Dublin. She arrived into her foster home and got straight down to business: dinner eaten, toys investigated, new hound friend Bingley approved.
First impressions? Friendly, gentle and very easy to like. She's already smitten with a little teddy gifted by a family who spotted her early and clearly have excellent taste.
She's only just begun her foster journey, so more updates are on the way. But so far, so very promising.

A huge thank you to Kerry and Paul for answering the foster appeal and opening their home to Ava so quickly. And a special mention to resident hound Bingley for the warmest of welcomes. Those waggy tails meant everything.

Ava has just arrived in foster and is already showing us what a lovely girl she is. She's calm, friendly and settling in well alongside another hound, which tells you a lot about her character.
She's best suited to a home with children aged 10 and over who are comfortable around dogs. A secure garden is a must, and she'll need a home without small pets.
She's only a few days in, but the early signs are really encouraging. More updates will follow as she continues to settle and show us more of her personality.
